Apple launches software version that integrates ChatGPT
Apple has released new software updates for iPhones, iPads, and Macs, including ChatGPT integration for Siri.
Users can choose to permit Siri to transfer complex questions to OpenAI’s ChatGPT, powered by the GPT-4o model.
The update, available in iOS 18.2 and its equivalents, provides access to ChatGPT without requiring an OpenAI account. The Siri-ChatGPT feature is supported on iPhone 15, iPhone 15 Pro, and iPhone 16 models.
Paid versions are also available through Apple’s platform, and integration is accessible via text menus. This integration is part of Apple Intelligence, a collection of AI tools introduced in October.
Apple assures that privacy measures are in place, preventing OpenAI from storing user requests.
