Anthropic to roll out Claude Cowork beta on mobile, web
Anthropic, the San Francisco-based AI company behind Claude, said Claude Cowork will roll out in beta on mobile and web in the next several weeks, starting with Max users.
The update lets users access Cowork sessions beyond the desktop app.
Cowork is not a new standalone product. Anthropic’s support documentation says the agent mode was already available on paid Claude plans and lets users handle multi-step work across connected apps.
The desktop app already supported local file access and browser actions.
Anthropic said the mobile and web versions bring Cowork to users who could not install the desktop app.
Scheduled tasks can run with no device online, and approval prompts can reach a phone.
Its documentation says tasks run remotely in an isolated environment and can access only connected folders and configured network settings.
For enterprise controls, Team and Enterprise admins can turn off web search or Claude in Chrome.
Users can also choose action-by-action approvals, while permanent file deletion still requires confirmation.
