Thousands of Amazon workers plan to strike starting on Thursday due to the company’s failure to negotiate a union contract after missing a deadline on last Sunday.

The strike is expected to disrupt Amazon’s operations during the busy holiday season. Scheduled just before Christmas, it will focus on unionized workers at the JFK8 warehouse in Staten Island, New York.

It will also include pickets various facilities across the country, including New York’s Queens, Southern California, and Illinois.
