Maybank has launched a new mobile banking app last month that, on top of its core banking services, lets customers pay bills and transfer funds from Singapore to Malaysia. This feature could be useful for Malaysian professionals working in Singapore.
The app has a fully customizable loading page with reminders of your personal savings goals and “Spin-a-Wheel” game rewards with instant prizes. It also has location-based features to conveniently locate Maybank’s branches, ATMs and allied networks.
Technology has changed the way we manage our money. Since Singapore has one of the world’s highest smartphone penetration rates (88%), it’s no surprise that mobile banking apps are here to stay. More than any other channel, mobile requires simplicity and innovation. Features need to reflect what we need, enabling us to make transactions on the go.
More financial institutions are jumping on board with the adoption of Tagit’s Mobeix platform — CIMB, Citi, DBS, POSB, Standard Chartered, and UOB, just to name a few. Maybank’s mbanking app is available for download now on Apple iTunes.
