Hello reader,
While many of us enjoy rooting for the underdog, witnessing a big blowout can be just as entertaining.
There’s something impressive about watching the superior team dismantle an opponent with clinical precision, choking them out through overwhelming teamplay and taking every advantage possible. I still feel sorry for the losing team, but a part of me can’t help but think: “I wish I could be as good as the winner, too.”
On this week’s list of startup funding, this kind of superiority seems to ooze from none other than India. I won’t go into the full list of deals in today’s newsletter, but I will mention that out of the 10 biggest deals this week, eight came from the country, with huge sums to boot.
Perhaps you can guess how much those deals were worth based on the list by country.
