Remember we predicted 5 possible Facebook features that we might see in the future? Now one of them has become a reality. Facebook has launched its retweet-like feature to all 350 million users for testing.
Upon clicking the ‘share’ button, the familiar conversation box would pop up with a little more information than it usually gives: “via |a link to the originator|”. See the screenshot below.
This may not be a drastic change as compared to user tagging, but this feature certainly gives credit to the originator of the post. Would this encourage Facebook users to share? To a small extent, yes.
