India’s e-commerce market looks large and lucrative enough from the outside, but insiders know it is very challenging. In fact, the number of e-commerce sites and businesses is growing so fast here today that the competition is cut-throat. This has forced online business and e-commerce sites to bring in some innovative elements to help generate revenues and sales before that model can be replicated by rival players.
After introducing the combo of coupons and cashback offers, India’s Cashkaro has added one more discount element – it has now tied up with over 500 restaurants in metro Delhi and Mumbai to offer up to 30 percent discounts to its members (see here). Swati Bhargava, CEO and co-founder of Cashkaro:

Cashkaro’s discounts in Delhi include Underdoggs, Out of the Box Café, Coriander Leaf, Moet’s Shack, Claridges restaurants (Dhaba, Jade, Azure, Oasis etc). While in Mumbai, Pot Pourri, Veda, Salt Water Café, Miro and many more have joined hands with the discounts site.
The tech startup has already secured its first investment deal of $75,000 in July from a London-based investor.
To get the new offers, users just need to make a reservation at the restaurant through Cashkaro and they will be sent a confirmation code via mobile phone. Simply show this code at the restaurant and enjoy the discount.
