Biggest rip-off of the year? Chinese handset maker to release HTC One clone called “Galaxy S6”

A Chinese handset maker has announced it will blatantly rip off its bigger and better rivals in both name and appearance with the upcoming November launch of the “Galapad Galaxy S6.” The phablet is a shameful impersonation of Samsung’s most popular ‘Galaxy S’ line of phones in terms of its name, combined with the looks of the HTC One models.

(Update: The post initially made the mistake of saying this was made by Coolpad. It’s not. Sorry about that).

It will sport a 6.3-inch screen, MediaTek quad-core processor, 1GB RAM, a 16GB storage, and enough nerve to poke caged lions with a stick.

Hat-tip to Stefan Constantine (@WhatTheBit) for spotting.
