During his MBA in 2016, Cyrus Naderi proposed using cameras for quality control (QC) in apparel manufacturing, but the technology wasn’t ready. After years of facing subjective human QC, the idea resurfaced in 2024. This led him to launch QSee to address the industry’s longstanding challenges.

😟 Problem

For 200 years, QC in apparel manufacturing has been a manual process. This reliance on human inspection leads to subjectivity, inconsistent standards, and significant delays in reporting.

Factories bear the immediate burden, while brands and retailers suffer from a lack of live production data and higher consumer returns.

💡 Solution

QSee leverages computer vision to modernize this process. The company has developed an Android app that allows factory QC staff to scan garments quickly and accurately.

The platform aims to standardize control and provide real-time data, with:

  • Faster workflow: Enables QC staff to check garments more efficiently.
  • Live data: Provides brands and factories with immediate insights into production quality.
  • Standardized control: Scans 100% of garments to ensure consistent quality and secure the online shopper experience.

📊 Market size

QSee is initially focusing on T-shirt measurement, a market representing 30 billion units produced annually worldwide.

The company projects mature customer accounts could be worth US$1 million to US$3 million in annual recurring revenue by 2028. Its goal for 2026 is to onboard three major brands and three major manufacturing groups.
